President – Jim Motheral
Jim Motheral serves as Zion Lutheran Church’s Council President. He moved to Kerrville in 2015 and joined Zion Lutheran Church at that time. He was raised Methodist but enjoys what the Lutheran Church has provided him. Jim loves outdoor activities and believes that the Hill Country has rejuvenated his passion for God and a fulfilled life.
Vice President – Leslie North
Leslie North serves as the Zion Lutheran Church’s Council Vice President. Leslie retired from the Air Force, and then taught school in Nebraska. After her teaching career she came to Texas in 2017 to be warmer and join her sister in Kerrville where they retired years ago. Leslie loves the Hill Country and loves being a part of Zion Lutheran Church.
Secretary – Deborah Jascur
Deborah Jascur serves as the Zion Lutheran Church’s Council Secretry. She was born and raised in Newark, NJ. From there she moved to Bucks County, PA, Houston, TX, and Jacksonville, FL, before finally settling in Kerrville in 2013. Deborah’s undergrad degree is in art education, and she has a Masters in special education. Art is her passion, along with reading and traveling. In addition to being the Zion Lutheran Church Council Secretary, she is the treasurer for the Guadalupe Watercolor Group.
Treasurer – Carol Greene
Carol Greene serves as the Zion Lutheran Church’s Council Treasurer. She is an avid gardener, artist, singer, songwriter. Carol is also a part of Zion’s Praise Band and has taught classes and womans seminars for Zion in the past.
Joel Johnson – Building
Joel Johnson serves as a Council Member for Zion Lutheran Church and is responsible for the building logistics of the church.
Tammy Myers – Worship
Tammy Myer serves as a Council Member for Zion Lutheran and is responsible for the Worship of the Church. She is a United States Navy veteran who successfully navigated the business world as a business owner for 30 years. Since 1996, she has been an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she has served on the Church Council in various leadership roles for 13 years. Her deep love for God and commitment to service guide her personal and professional life. In her free time, she enjoys indulging in music and gardening, finding joy and tranquility in both. Her journey is driven by faith, community, and a dedication to making a positive impact.
Larry Cattran – Child Center
Larry Cattran is the Children’s Center representative on the Church Council. Larry was born and raised into a Lutheran family in a small farming community in northern Ohio. He graduated from Capital University with a B.S. in Chemistry and Purdue University with master’s degrees in organic chemistry and business management. After graduate school he worked for Hewlett-Packard for 27 years in a wide variety of positions and locations. The part of HP he worked in is now a separate company called Agilent Technology, which designs and builds a range of instruments for chemical analysis. Larry met and married Adele in 1977 and moved to Kerrville in 2010 to escape the craziness of California. They joined Zion in 2010, and Larry has served as the President of the Children’s Center Board and the Center representative on Zion Church Council since 2012.

Patty Putnam – Outreach
Patty Putnam serves as a Council Member for Zion Lutheran Church and is responsible for the outreach of the church.
