Rev. Dr. Timothy Sternberg
Rev. Dr. Timothy Sternberg is the youngest of two brothers, husband to his beloved wife and true companion, father of four sons, father-in-law to three wonderful daughters-in-law, and grandfather to two grandsons and a granddaughter. Above all, he is grateful to be a child of his Father in heaven.
Before entering pastoral ministry, Pastor Sternberg served as a college professor of speech and theater. After feeling God’s call to ministry, he attended seminary, earning a second master’s degree and later completing a doctorate in biblical studies. Throughout his ministry journey, he and his wife have had the privilege of serving congregations across the country. Among all the places they have lived and served, the Texas Hill Country holds a special place in their hearts.
When he is not visiting with members, preparing sermons, or leading Bible studies, Pastor Sternberg enjoys exploring Texas state parks with his wife, reading books on the Bible and theology, and working on woodworking projects.
Asked about his favorite Bible verse, Pastor Sternberg likes to say, “The ones between Genesis 1:1 and Revelation 22:21.” He treasures the entirety of God’s Word and finds great joy in serving the Lord who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and rise again so that we might have eternal life and fellowship with Him.
